@ work

Passionate, experienced product design leader who has built many high-performing teams utilizing my expertise at the intersection of business, technology and UX. I have taken multiple large-scale projects from early conceptualization to commercialization by simplifying complex design challenges into intuitive design solutions. I achieved this by applying iterative research and design techniques that centered on human understanding. Several of my solutions for these complex and innovative design challenges have resulted in eight design patents. A majority of these patents are NUI related.

ArtsCenter College of Design

For the past several years, I have been a guest lecturer and a grad student mentor. These experiences keep me in touch with the latest innovations coming out of one of the premier design schools in the country as well as create meaningful relationships with their most talented students.

@ my happy place

Outside of work, you will find me enjoying the natural beauty of the PNW through paddle boarding, snowboarding, trail running, mountain biking, and hiking our beautiful coast or mountain ranges. You will also find me in the studio, creating encaustic art. My other creative outlet is capturing the mundane and not so mundane moments of life through a camera lens. Architecture is another passion where I have won design awards that have been highlighted in local publications.

Architecture

In partnership with Tim Rhodes Architecture, I assisted in designing two award winning custom homes.

These homes were built in Bothell WA. Each home consisted of three separate dwellings that surround a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace.
